FLORA Residency 2018

About the artist
Sarina Scheidegger, Basel, 1985
After her studies at the Bern University of the Arts and several years of professional experience, Sarina was involved in exhibition projects not only in Switzerland, but also in Germany, Iceland and Russia. In 2012 she won the Swiss Performance Award for her work «To Forget Is To Remember». This young artist also spent time in Buenos Aires in 2016, thanks to the Basel-Mulhouse-Fribourg international artistic exchange programme «Atelier Mondial / SKK Scholarship».
As part of its partnership with the contemporary art space FLORA ars+natura, COINCIDENCIA is lending its support to a residency programme in Bogota within the partner institution. For 2018, this residency has been awarded to the Swiss artist Sarina Scheidegger. It starts in February and runs until the end of the year. This is the second FLORA residency offered by the COINCIDENCIA programme. The first welcomed the artist Johannes Willi (Basel) during 2017.
FLORA ars+natura is a contemporary art space dedicated to the relationship between art and nature. Each year, FLORA welcomes more than a dozen artists from all over the world to take part in its residencies, thereby enabling the creation of an international network built on a wide range of projects and activities.
