THIS MADNESS HAS TO STOP

«There is no turning back»
– Kay Sara

Kay Sara plays Antigone – the leading role from Milo Raus’ next piece «Antigone in the Amazon», a project supported by COINCIDENCIA. The rehearsal for the Brazilian-European piece started before the COVID-19 Pandemics and got interrupted by the global crisis. The Brazilian actress gives the opening speech for the Vienna Festwochen, which was supposed to happen at the opening of the festival live on the stage of the Burgtheater Vienna, directly from the Amazon, through video. The address is followed by a discussion with Tania Bruguera (Cuba) and Milo Rau (Belgium), moderated by Lara Staal (Netherlands).
