Pro Helvetia has launched a call for residencies applications aimed at cultural professionals from Switzerland and South America (e.g., artists, curators, cultural intermediaries). Cultural practitioners from Switzerland may apply for residencies in South America, while cultural practitioners from South America can apply for residencies in Switzerland. Below you will find more information on the countries in question. The residencies have a maximum duration of three months. Pro Helvetia provides accommodation, daily allowances, professional guidance, travel expenses, a contribution towards production and material costs (on request), and a workplace (on request). Applications may be submitted once a year (application deadline: 10 March 2021) via myprohelvetia, applications must be submitted in English. The residencies provide an opportunity for inspiration, networking and project work Artists and cultural practitioners in the fields of visual arts, design and interactive media, music, literature and performing arts, as well as arts practitioners with a transdisciplinary focus, are eligible.
We are aware that the global COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to great uncertainty. Nevertheless, we would like to encourage you to apply. We will do our utmost to create suitable framework conditions and to support you in your activities and your process.

- Convincing track record: professional activity with a national/transregional reach
- Context-related motivation
- Sufficient knowledge of English
- Concrete exchange project with a lasting impact
POSSIBLE DESTINATIONS FOR CULTURAL PRACTITIONERS FROM SWITZERLAND
Cultural practitioners from Switzerland may apply for residencies in two different regions covered by Pro Helvetia. Two separate, complete applications must be submitted. A maximum of one application per person will be approved within the framework of one call for applications.
