Residency

[OPEN CALL:2022] – Meet the selected artists!

Pro Helvetia South America is happy to announce the selected artists from our 2022 Open Call Art Residencies! 

Received through an annual open call, applications are carefully considered by experts from both our South American and  Zurich offices. Special attention is given to the clarity, coherence, and local relevance of each submission, as well as to the positioning of the residency experience in a meaningful way within the artist’s overall professional trajectory. We work with a network of partners in the South American region and in Switzerland to design bespoke residency experiences for the selected artists. 

We are pleased to introduce an exciting group of artists from Switzerland and from all over South America who have been selected to take part in our residency programme in 2022.

From Switzerland, we welcome Matias RinggenbergTabea Martin, Virginie Rebetez, Michael Pelzel, Julia Haenni, Yvonne Eisenrin, tobibenz, Verein reConvert, Maya Hotarek and Lisa Lurati.   

And from South America, we are pleased to welcome Alejandra Cárdenas (Ale Hop) (PE), Yhuri Cruz (BR), Wisrah Villefort (BR), Cinthia De Levie (AR), Laura Kalauz (AR), Juanita Delgado (CO), Rodrigo García Cordero and Carlos Zerpa (VE), Leyla Cárdenas (CO), Igor Vidor (BR), Ana Claudia Almeida (BR) and Manuel Valverde (AR). 

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
