Open Call: Residency Program «Cidade Floresta – City as Forest»

Applications are now closed
The residency programme «Cidade Floresta – City as Forest» will gather artists and scientists from Brazil, Switzerland, and Germany for an immersive experience in the urban space of Rio de Janeiro [BR].
This is a speculative project that brings city and forest together, acknowledging both as complex, collaborative, and communicative ecosystems. The idea is to rethink our ways of managing urban life, besides offering room for artistic creation and experimentation in dialogue with science.
«Cidade Floresta» proposes an environment for the exchange of knowledge, where artists and scientists can work side by side, broadening their views and acting beyond the protocols of their laboratories and studios.
The residency occurs between May 16th and June 4th, 2022, in Rio’s metropolitan area in partnership with the Museum of Tomorrow. Applications are open until March 27th.
«Cidade Floresta» is organised by the Goethe-Institut in Rio de Janeiro, the Museum of Tomorrow, Swissnex in Brazil, and Pro Helvetia South America.
