Guely MoratóSwitzerland | Sound Art
Founder and director of SONANDES, a Bolivian platform dedicated to musical experimentation and sound art, Guely Morató has been working, since 2020, in «Wak’a: Neo-Extravism, Sacredness & Deep Listening», a project that articulates collaborations between Bolivian artists and practitioners from other countries. During her residency, Guelly intends to compositionally develop the multi-channel sound art exhibition of the «Wak’a» curatorial project as well as the study of sound spatialisation with an emphasis on engineering designed for an itinerant exhibition that brings together sound pieces from Africa, Asia, America, and Europe.
Guely Morató Loredo [BO] is a curator, sound artist and researcher, M.Sc in Education and Technology. Since 2014, she has founded and directed SONANDES, a platform for artistic experimentation and research that promotes an international sound art biennial, a programme of residencies, laboratories, research projects, exhibitions and publications. Her artistic practices focus on the exploration and systematisation of collective creation processes and the promotion of a culture of listening. She is currently curating the fifth edition of Sonandes: International Biennial of Sound Art and is developing the curatorial project «Wak’a». Her work has been exhibited in different countries in America and Europe.
