La Ribot will present the piece «Another Distinguée» made up of series of short actions combining dance, performance and talks at Santiago a Mil 25th years anniversary. The fifth part of «Distinguished Pieces», performed by La Ribot, Juan Loriente, Thami Manekehla, comes to Santiago a Mil after performances at the Centre Pompidou and the Tate Modern and in multiple European countries. As a staged installation, the piece aims to appeal directly to the audience, allowing each person to decide where and how they want to experience each moment, providing an opportunity that challenges choreography’s limits and opens up new ways of looking at the world.

For the rest of the month of January, La Ribot will remain in Santiago, in a creative residency at the performing arts centre NAVE, to work further on her project entitled «Happy Island» which she started in Madeira, in collaboration with the Catalan artist Josep Maria Martín. «OM-Operación Madeira» (provisional title of the result of the residency), conceived and created in different cities and countries, is a project where both La Ribot together with the Portuguese company resident on the island of Madeira will develop a work plan that will pass through different countries, Chile being the first destination. This new investigation began in November 2017 in Madeira with three dancers with Trisomia 21 (down syndrome) and will continue in Chile (January) and Geneva (February).
