The 7th edition of Novas Frequências Festival, an international event for experimental music and sound exploration, takes place from 4 to 10 December in Rio de Janeiro. The programme is organised in various venues around the city and brings together 18 attractions from 10 different countries with activities including shows, performances derived from artistic residencies, parties, sound installations and workshops. Three attractions have received support from COINCIDÊNCIA in various formats. These include Aïsha Devi, ensemBle baBel and Nicolas Field with Pontogor.

Aïsha Devi presents a fusion of Club Music with mantras of Nepalese and Tibetan origin, Bengali poetry, Sufism, physical manifestations and bass frequencies at the festival’s main party (undisclosed venue). EnsemBle baBel performs visual and graphic pieces by artist and composer Christian Marclay, striving to bring together classical and contemporary music through new approaches at Theatro Municipal – Sala Mário Tavares. Nicolas Field & Pontogor develop a sound installation entitled «To the Bone» along with a series of workshops and activities in the gardens of Rio de Janeiro’s MAM – Modern Art Museum.
