Gilles Jobin (Ginebra) «WOMB» at VI Festival Internacional de Videodanzaba (Buenos Aires) and at Festival Dança em Foco (Rio de Janeiro)

Three-dimensional, with both audio and visual components, the film “WOMB”, the latest project of the Swiss choreographer Gilles Jobin, plunges the viewer into an augmented artistic experience thanks to the use of high-definition 3-D technology. Placed within a setting of the visual artist Sylvie Fleury, with costumes by fashion designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard and a soundtrack by Franz Treichler (The Young

Gods), “WOMB” draws on the depth of space and the volume of the bodies to instil a sense of contemplative emotion.

The screening of «WOMB» at the Festival International de Video Danzaba de Buenos Aires and the Festival Dança em Foco de Fortaleza was accompanied each time by a retrospective of Gilles Jobin’s work. This occasion also enabled the encounter with REDIV – Red iberoamericana de festivales internacionales de videodanza, supported by the COINCIDENCIA programme.
