Ruedi Baur (Institut Civic City), Kiko Farkas and Rico Lins present «Places en Relation» at Espaço Fronteira and Avenida Paulista during the 11th São Paulo Architecture Biennial
The «Places en Relations» project in São Paulo was put together by the designers Ruedi Baur (Institut Civic City), Rico Lins and Kiko Farkas for the 11th São Paulo Architecture Biennial. Its main focus of investigation was the Avenida Paulista. Several activities were organised over three days, including a lecture with Ruedi Baur introducing his work and opening up a discussion on the idea of squares and interventions taking into account various aspects of the Avenue. The organisers took advantage of the Sunday closure of Av. Paulista to interact with the public, gathering and proposing creative content, interviewing hundreds of people and inviting them to participate in emotional mapping of the area. This was the first in a series of ongoing actions.
