«Research Trip to Tierra del Fuego» – Lisa Lurati

The Swiss visual artist Lisa Lurati was on a research trip, from the 1 to the 15 of March 2019, through key places of Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia, Chile, following the path of its ancient inhabitants.
She joined a group composed by the artist Nicolas Spencer, who organized the trip, archeologist Dr. Alfredo Prieto, independent curator Eric Mattson and curator Carsten Stabenow. The trip is intended to be the first step of a long-term collaborative research and exhibition project.
Born in 1989, Lisa Lurati trained at the Vevey School of Photography (CEPV) from 2011 to 2015. Her work, focused on photography and visual arts, has been presented in collective exhibitions and publications in Switzerland and Germany since 2013. She lives and works in Lugano and Berlin, and, during the spring 2018, was artist in residence at the Villa Ruffieux, in Sierre.
