The visual arts project «ERIAZO. Art practices from the residual space», instigated by artists Louise Mestrallet (FR) and Cristián Valenzuela (CL) in collaboration with Simon Wunderlich (GE/CH), took place during the month of October 2018. The project´s action base was the contemporary art space Ausstellungsraum Klingental in the city of Basel y involves Chilean, Colombian, Indian, Swiss, Belgian and French individual artists and collectives.

The project included the participation of Chilean artists Oscar Concha, Natascha de Cortillas, Eduardo Cruces, Leslie Fernández, Andrea Herrera and David Romero, all from the Bio-Bio region in the Central-South region of Chile, and the artistic residence program in Espace Libre, in the city of Bienne (by artist David Romero). It contained a series of research, meetings, lectures and performances with actors from the various countries engaged in the project aimed at reactivating and projecting a new platform for continuous exchange, which has been in development since 2012.

The Chilean delegation met with several local players, artists and activists such as: Andrea Marioni, Almut Rembges, Federica Martini, Madeleine Amsler and teams from different spaces hosting the project: Ausstellunsgraum Klingental, FAQ Galerie, VIA, Kaskadenkondensator, Doppeldecker, Keck Kiosk, Verein LLos and Neues Kino.
